The goal of CHAMP is to create an educational environment where MATE participants, University Community Teaching Fellowships in Mathematics and Science (CTFMS) students, and classroom teachers can work collaboratively to create, demonstrate and test innovative instructional strategies in mathematics with students from grades four through eleven.

The CHAMP program is developed in collaboration with schools and/or school districts. CHAMP is currently being offered to the Jurupa Unified School District.
