Jurupa Unified School District teachers, JUSD and UCR administrators, and the NSF project team gathered at Mira Loma middle school to celebrate the NSF Mathematical ACTS program on October 15, 2003.
Dr. James Hamos, UCR Chancellor France Cordova and Dr. Pamela Clute of Alpha Center all addressed the audience at the event.
Graduate School of Education's Athena Waite and Executive Vice Chancellor William Jury show their support for the program.
Teachers displayed students' work at the event designed to share lesson plan ideas with other teachers.
Jurupa USD Superintendent Rollin Edmunds discusses the important partnership between the district and UCR.
Dr. James Hamos, NSF program officer, discussed the importance of the program.
Dr. Ed D'Souza, director of Curriculum and Instruction for Rialto USD, teacher Paul Horn, and his daughter examine mathematics display boards.
Dr. Michael Rettig of UCR's Chemistry Dept. and Dr. Richard Cardullo of UCR's Biology Dept. (PI), addressed the audience at the event. Acting Dean of Graduate School of Education Sharon Duffy support the program.
