The Alpha Center at UC Riverside serves as the conduit through which the University establishes collaborative partnerships that serve educational, community and business constituents of the Inland Empire. Recently, the Alpha Center has become the headquarters for the UCR P-20 Regional Alliance, an initiative created to focus partnership efforts on two principle goals: increasing college going and success rates; and improving teacher quality. It is our philosophy that pursuing these goals within a P-20 Regional Alliance is the best means to overcoming systemic obstacles currently limiting students' access to institutions of higher education (IHE) in the Inland Empire. |
